JR Packaging is a Corsham-based supplier of industrial and specialist packaging, from boxes and Tri-Wall to jerry cans and bottles. 4D Digital rebuilt their online store as a modern platform designed to build on the momentum they had already created.

The challenge

JR Packaging had built genuine momentum online. Years of trading had earned them strong product credibility and established positions in their core categories, with a loyal base of trade and industrial customers ordering specialist packaging at volume.

The opportunity was to give that progress a platform built to grow on – a modern store that would make it easier to expand the range, reach more of the customers already searching for their products, and scale comfortably as demand grows.

The one essential was to move to that new platform without disrupting any of it. Established search rankings, paid advertising performance and sales tracking all needed to carry over seamlessly, so the business kept performing from the first hour the new site went live.

The approach

4D Digital rebuilt the store on a modern WooCommerce foundation, with a cleaner category structure organised around the way customers actually search for packaging. The result is a site that is easier to navigate, simpler to manage, and ready to expand as JR Packaging adds products and moves into new categories.

The migration was planned to be low-risk and near-invisible to customers and search engines alike. Product and URL structures were matched across the old and new sites, the Google Merchant Center product feed was switched cleanly, and conversion tracking was replicated exactly, so rankings, paid traffic and sales data carried straight over at launch.

Alongside the build, 4D set out a twelve-month growth plan spanning SEO content, precision paid advertising, email marketing and conversion optimisation – a clear roadmap for turning the new platform into sustained growth.

The results

The new store gives JR Packaging a modern, scalable foundation that carries forward everything they had already built – and is ready to grow on.

With a clean migration behind them, the focus now moves to growth: capturing more of the high-demand product searches in their market, and steadily improving how the site turns visitors into orders.

4D Digital continues to work with JR Packaging as their ongoing SEO and digital-marketing partner, building on the new platform month by month.
